Generations Family Practice is dedicated to improving the quality of health care for its patients.

Generations Family Practice is led by Melanie Mintzer, MD., a certified Family Practioner who also specializes in behavioral and women's health, including contraception and menopause. Before forming Generations Family Practice Dr. Mintzer was Assistant Professor, Department of Family Medicine, UNC School of Medicine, Chapel Hill, NC for almost twenty years. In this role she taught many of the physicians currently practicing in our area. She is joined in the practice by Jason Bhan, MD, who has particular interests in preventative medicine, adolescent health, and mood disorders (including depression, anxiety, ADD, and ADHD); Susan Marshall, FNP, who focuses on diabetes treatment and pediatrics; Robin Viviano, FNP who is particularly interested in caring for adolescents, as well as internal medicine patients with a focus on cardiology, hypertension, and cholesterol management; and, Mary Hoff, M.Ed. an expert in counseling adolescents and adults with Attention Deficit Disorder and Learning Disabilities; as well as a dedicated staff of nurses, and support personnel.
