Micaela Burke is a true lover of science, but her drive to become a nurse was fueled by her desire to work with people and establish long-lasting relationships with her patients.
Micaela is originally from Cary, NC and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2009 with her BSN. She worked at Rex Hospital for six years on a medical-surgical floor. She completed the family nurse practitioner program in 2014 at UNC-Chapel Hill while working part-time and then joined the Generations’ family.
Micaela is a member of AANP and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing honor society. In her spare time, she likes to read, do yoga, run and spend time with her family.
