About Dr. Romano Gharaibeh

Anisaa Romano Gharaibeh, DO, is a family medicine specialist at Generations Family Practice in Cary, North Carolina. She is a self-proclaimed nomad and wellness enthusiast with multicultural roots who discovered her passion for family medicine through a non-conventional path.

After graduating from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem, New York, Dr. Romano completed an internal medicine internship at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California, as an Armed Forces Health Professional Scholarship Program member.

Although Dr. Romano thoroughly enjoyed her naval medical training, she desired more stability as a new mom and missed taking care of pediatric patients, prenatal care, and women's health. This prompted her to fulfill her military service obligation as a general medical officer to transition to a family medicine residency as a civilian.

As a general medical officer, Dr. Romano was assigned to Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point in Craven County, North Carolina, and fell in love with the area. It was this love that led her back to North Carolina and ultimately Generations Family Practice upon completing her family medicine residency in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Dr. Romano enjoys taking care of patients of all ages but is especially passionate about women's health, mental health, applying osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) to treat migraines and other vestibular disorders, and joint injections.

In her spare time, Dr. Romano enjoys spending time with her two rambunctious girls, going to the beach, and eating exotic cuisine from all over the world
