We see Sarah Gray, PA-C and adore her. She is warm, professional, very bright, collaborative, and truly listens. We recently had a fairly negative experience at an emergency department where I, as a mother to a sick kid, felt the need to leave without additional recommended testing. It was a choice my husband and I felt compelled to make knowing our child, and her history which did not appear to be understood. I was admittedly worried about how this would "look" in her record, and how Ms. Gray might respond, knowing we appear to be difficult based on what must be in this note. I was also concerned this might make her feel uncomfortable with us (as if we might question her judgement). I felt nothing of the sort. She listened to our version of the experience and without judgement, moved on. I'm really grateful for providers like Sarah, as -in this specific situation especially-the decision to decline recommendations made by the ED was a difficult one (not bc we thought there was true risk, but because this just isn't something viewed as acceptsble in our medical system) and at no point in hearing this recount did Sarah make us feel irresponsible for making the choice we did. I trust her judgement and clinical decision making implicitly and similarly know if she doesn't know something she is humble enough to say so. I'd choose Sarah 100 times over and the practice itself makes health care simpler. Thanks for all.
